Alice and Oskar Merz-Meyer establish the company on the āBlumenstrasseā in St. Margrethen. Fabricating lathe parts and milling work for paid labor.
1954
Company moves to the āIndustriestrasse 8ā, the first āMERZROLLERā is manufactured; the daily production is transported by bicycle to the neighborhood lacquer-man. The premises were enlarged three times.
1955
The first āMERZROLLERā bottle drawers for the refrigerating industry are being produced.1959
The company is transformed into a ālimited companyā, still owned by the family Merz.1960
